In this rich and evocative collection of poems, Chelsea Rathburn explores the themes of anger and desire, relationship of self and other, and--especially--the relationship between a mother and her child. At times humorous and painful, joyful and despairing, Rathburn's keen observations open new ways of considering the world.
Chelsea Rathburn's poems have appeared in Poetry, The Atlantic Monthly, the New Republic, The Southern Review, New England Review, The Threepenny Review and Ploughshares, among other journals and anthologies. She is an assistant professor of English and creative writing at Young Harris College, where she directs the creative writing program.
